Box 217, 7500 AE Enschede, The Netherlands E-mail [email protected] Abstract: Mixed sensitivity design of a linear multivariable control system amounts to shaping its sensitivity functions to achieve the design targets of closed-loop system performance and robustness. Both H∞ and 2 H optimization may be used to this end. Various tools are available, in particular low and high frequency shaping, and partial pole assignment. The paper describes a technique to help placing the dominant closedloop poles called disturbance modeling. Copyright © 2002 IFAC
